Anotace knihy

In towards an European Union policy for regularization? Stéphanie Lallier shows that immigration is one of the most important issues that has to be tackled in the European Union. All the borders of the European Union are facing illegal border crossing, however it is important to realize that the problems within the area of asylum and immigrations are very diverse between the northern and the southern border countries. The stream of migrants is, as she argues, a visual circle, because high level of migration (legal and illegal) cause high level of migration, due to the flow back of the network to the country of origin which encourages others to try emigration. This explains why often it appears that migration is managing the EU governments while they claim to manage migration. This book is divided into three sub-divisions, namely European policy, laws and regulations, Regularization in the Netherlands and, Regularization in France. At the end of the book Stéphanie Lallier combines all the above into an answer to the question: Should there be European Union policy for regularizations?
