This dissertation is a collection of three essays intheoretical modeling for Electron Commerce (EC). Weapply state of art game theoretic modeling andmathematical optimization techniques in problemsarising in electronic commerce. The topics includesponsored search auctions, reverse auctions anddouble auctions.The first problem deals with the design of revenuemaximizing procurement auctions with divisiblequantities in a setting where both the marginal costand the production capacity are private informationof the suppliers. The second problem deals with thedesign of the optimal sponsored search auctions usedby the internet search service providers such asGoogle and Yahoo!. The third problem studied in thisdissertation is the design and analysis of a simpleonline exchange for matching impatient demand withpatient supply.
