It is challenging to find a book written from the viewpointof Urban Aboriginal Leaders in Canada. A task that I assumed tounderstand what we as Aboriginal people in Canada could offer, in asense bridging the understanding of leadership from a traditionalAboriginal worldview and western methodologies of leadership. In2006, the Canadian census identified that more than 50% ofAboriginal people in Canada now live in urban centers. Thisphenomenon of migration to cities will have an increased effect onhow companies and organizations work with urban Aboriginal people.Offering a potential workforce of highly educated young Aboriginalmen and woman with unique leadership styles that need to berecognized and valued within western leadership methodologies.
