Astronomy was, in fact, the first science created on our planet. From ancient times, man began to think about what is the world in which he lives, the vast, mysterious Universe, a small part of which he is. But what first made our distant ancestors distract themselves from the harsh everyday reality of the incessant struggle for existence and turn their eyes to the sky? Was it the mysterious beauty of the night sky dotted with pearly scatterings of stars? Or its seemingly "eternal" immutability? Or maybe the inner need for cognition, which develops along with the complication of the brain in the incessant labor activity. All this, apparently, played its role. However, the necessity of cognition of the surrounding world was also dictated by the immediate practical needs of people, the satisfaction of which required the acquisition of more and more new knowledge and skills.
