Anotace knihy
Philosophy demands attention. This book invites you to read calmly and offers a clear, structured path -without losing rigor or falling into oversimplification.
In On Nature, Parmenides presented truth through the frame of a chariot journey and proposed two paths: the path of truth and the path of opinion. His most famous claim is simple in form and unsettling in its consequences: "what is" can neither arise from "what is not" nor pass into it.
That formula could seem abstract, even contradictory, but it had enormous consequences for every attempt to explain reality. Zeno carried that demand to its extremes, defending Parmenides with paradoxes that forced the listener to choose between what seems evident and what can be affirmed with certainty.
After Parmenides and Zeno, every rational explanation had to demonstrate its logical consistency.
