Siti has four really good mates: Donna, Lu, Kelly and Rachel. They are so close that Siti calls them her sisters. In Sleepover, the sisters arrange a sleepover at Lu's. After watching horror DVDs in Lu's bedroom, it's time to go out to the summer house in the garden where they're all meant to be sleeping. But there are all kinds of spooky noises outside and then the burglar alarm goes off. Lu's parents get really angry and don't believe the girls when they say it wasn't anything to do with them. But what was it? 'Sleepover' is part of the Siti's Sisters Series, in a set of six light-hearted fiction books designed to have particular appeal to girls. Siti and her friends are four girls who experience all sorts of life issues in this engrossing series. They are ideal for touching the hearts of young girls and always a great read. Each fast moving story is around 1200 - 1500 words in length, with tightly controlled vocabulary and contemporary black and white illustrations throughout to help readers engage and follow the narrative. Published by Ransom Publishing, the books are designed to appeal to reluctant readers aged 12 - 14 with a reading age of 7 - 8 years. There are a further 18 books in the series. In the other sets Siti and her sisters are younger and therefore they have a younger interest and/or reading age.
