This novel, Please God, is the very personal story of a young girl named Maggie. Maggie Jones grew up on the reservation outside a small town. Maggie is taken from her mother at the young age of four. From that day forward Maggie jumps from one nightmare to the next. She is abused by family members and beaten by boyfriends.
