Pathology of Laboratory Swine is a comprehensive text describing the spontaneous pathology seen in the common laboratory pig strains. This is the first book collating information on all organ systems in these strains. Pigs are now used in greater numbers in contract research organizations as well as in the pharmaceutical industry. They provide significant advantages over dogs due to their greater tolerance of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, antihypertensive agents and sympathicomimetic drugs.
