Today's mo lecularbiologistscannolongerbecontentwithbeingexperts inoneparticulararea alone. Theyneedtobeequallycompe tentin the laboratory at handling DNA, RNA,and proteins movingfrom one area toanotherasrequiredby theproblem thatisbeing solved. Althoughmanyof thenewtechniques in molecularbiologyare relativelyeasy tomaster, itisoften difficult for a researcher to obtain all the relevant informa tionnecessaryforsettingupandsuccessfullyapplyinganew technique.
