This book addresses the diagnosis and treatment of myocarditis. Myocarditis is a clinical syndrome, generally of infectious etiology, that occurs with a wide spectrum of relatively non-specific symptoms, and encompasses an inflammatory procedure of the heart with necrosis and degeneration of the myocardium by inflammatory infiltration of immune cells.
