This study has been focused on the synthetic process development, characterization and applications of novel mesoporous of nanostructured materials. Titania, sulfated-titania, titania-silica, titania- alumina, sulfated-titania-alumina powders were prepared through the sol-gel methods in combination with immersion in a surfactant solution before drying or a one-step synthesis by the sol-gel method followed by CO2 supercritical extraction.
