Anotace knihy

What happens when Nya discovers that she is a magical, mythological creature from the depths of the sea? This inner mermaid calls to her in spite of the traumas she suffers above the waves. In fact, it is her one true escape from a family who doesn't understand her and constantly tries to tear down her self-confidence. It is only in the sea that she fully comes alive.

Based on a true story, this spiritual awakening of one young woman who doesn't give up, is an inspiring lesson for us all when we think we are alone.

I loved this mermaid's tail of a story about a young girl learning to fight back from the emotional shackles placed by the people closest to her. And she does it in the most unorthodox way.

Debby Montgomery Johnson, author of A Gift Called Fearless

Danielle Mitwasi was born in Beirut, Lebanon to a multicultural family. Her passion for the ocean stems from her adventures and stories by the Mediterranean Sea. Her love for writing started at a young age where her imagination would run wild, and she loved writing short stories. Danielle came to the United States in the mid 1970s due to war in Lebanon. During this transition, her life changed forever. Danielle is a loving mother, wife, sister, friend, and author. She is always helping others and is very generous with her time.
