Laser-induced shock waves have found many applications such as artifacts cleaning, material processing, lithotripsy, photo-disruption and nano-surgery. In artifact cleaning, contamination from the surface are removed without damaging the surface. Reasonably higher laser pulse energies help the obtainment of better surface clearness.
