The internet development began in mid-90s to allow information to be shared and documents to be interconnected. the development of social media was introduced in 2002, which allowed friends to share photos, documents and other information with a click of a button. A new revolution known as the Internet of Things (IoT) has just started to allow devices to share information without human being involvement.
