Integrated Pathology: From Concepts to Diagnosis - Volume 2A covers Chapters 1-24: cellular pathology and the major organ systems through to the male genital tract. The companion Volume 2B contains Chapters 25-43 - female genital tract, breast, endocrine, dermatopathology, soft tissue and bone, neuropathology, cytopathology, and applied laboratory pathology.

Volume 2A is written for FRCPath candidates, international pathology residents, and early-career consultants. It is calibrated for the FRCPath syllabus and contemporary diagnostic practice without trying to replace Robbins - it occupies a different space.

Every chapter is built around five integrated elements:

WHO 5th Edition classifications are integrated wherever applicable - CNS (2021), Urinary and Male Genital (2022), Endocrine (2022), Soft Tissue and Bone (2020), and Breast (2019). AJCC 8th Edition staging is woven through the surgical-pathology chapters. Diagnostic criteria, immunohistochemistry panels, and molecular profiles sit inside the relevant chapter, not in an appendix.

Over 300 figures combine open-licence photomicrographs with sixteen original stepwise diagnostic algorithms. The two-volume division of Volume 2 is editorial, not conceptual - the full integrated framework is preserved across the set, and either volume may be used in isolation without loss of conceptual continuity.

He trained in oncopathology at Tata Memorial Centre and holds Part 1 of the FRCPath. His research and teaching span haematopathology, molecular diagnostics, and surgical pathology.
