Anotace knihy

Moving beyond the basic 'formulaic' practice of acupuncture to become a truly effective practitioner requires not only a working knowledge of the fundamental principles of Chinese medical thought, but the ability to interpret these effectively for diagnosis and treatment. "I Ching Acupuncture - The Balance Method" provides a clear introduction to the fundamental principles of Chinese medical philosophy including Qi, Yin-Yang, Five Phases, the Eight Trigrams, the Early and Later Heaven Ba Gua, the 64-Hexagrams, Luo Shu, He Tu and the Chinese calendar. The author then introduces the Balance Method of approaching treatment, and systematically presents the charts and references upon which the practitioner can rely, and a comprehensive explanation of the methods to be used to identify the correct treatment. This is a distal and minimal point selection method based on the classics of Chinese medicine. Essential for the clinic, but also guiding the practising acupuncturist to a much deeper understanding of their discipline, this book will constitute an invaluable tool for acupuncturists at all stages of their career.
