David Dameron received his education at the University of North Carolina. He is retired from the U.S. Army, where he served with the 82nd Airborne Division and the 7th Special Forces Group. He is the author of several books including General Henry L. Benning (2001), Benning's Brigade, Volumes 1 and 2 (2002), Kings Mountain: Defeat of the Loyalists (2003), and A Guide to the Battles of the American Revolution (with Theodore P.
