This book presents the results of years of investigation into glycoconjugates in the digestive systems, particularly pancreatic juice. It describes the the characteristics of dermatan sulfate proteoglycans, which led to the development of an artificial synthesis method for dermatan sulfate proteoglycans, with the characteristics of each part of the digestive tract, to advance the future research. 4-methylumbelliferone, an effective hyaluronic acid synthesis inhibitor with significant anti-tumor activity and a significant effect on metastasis inhibition, was potentially found to help treat pancreatic cancer. Ex vivo research of pancreatic juice is challenging physiologically and biochemically due to pancreatic juice enzyme activation.
