Das Album wurde 2018 und Anfang 2019 im Woodshed in Malibu, Nightbird in Los Angeles, Retreat in Brighton und Candybomber in Berlin aufgenommen. Es wurde von Nick Cave,Warren Ellis, Lance Powell und Andrew Dominik im Conway in Los Angeles gemixt.
