Anotace knihy

The author served with the 5th Australian Inf. Bn AIF as a private soldier. This is his memoir, his books chapters are arranged in three parts-Australia/Egypt (April 1915 to January 1916), and France and Flanders (March 1916 to November 1918). His narrative is fluent and interesting, with good accounts of the many actions in which he was engaged. This is the only known record of the Bn and therefore is a a very helpful source.
