What's one more wave going to hurt? There's still plenty of light to see by, and it's not like you're going to surf that far away from shore.

While Cate paddles toward the beach, you turn around and paddle your board toward a big wave. It looks awesome! You get to it just as it crests and take off down the wave's face.

Now on shore, Cate shouts your name in terror. You can't figure out why-this is one of the easier waves you've surfed today, and you're doing great!

But now it's not just Cate's voice you hear-almost everyone left on the beach is calling out for you to watch out, though you can't see anything in front of you to be worried about.

What are they freaking out about? you think.

You don't realize what's caught everyone's attention until you angle your board to the right and see that a large gray shark is stalking you through the waves. It's closing in on you, too!

You don't know whether to keep the shark in your sight or turn the board back toward shore to gain more speed.
