In transculturation, cultures nurture each other but also change each other, through a dynamic of transformation. Galicia is a prime area of study for this transcultural dynamic. Contemporary Galician Culture in a Global Context: Movable Identities argues that migrations, population flows and complex interactions between center and periphery characterize the entwined developments of Galician and Spanish national identities.
