China, India, and ASEAN are generally committed to preventing hegemonism in Asia, regardless of whether it is internally or externally generated. Such a convergence of strategic interests in the first decade of the new millennium augurs well for trilateral cooperation in many areas including the political, economic, and security dimensions.
