Im Geiste von Dowty (1979) wird versucht, die Aktionsart von Verben, Verbprojektionen und Sätzen durch geeignete semantische Dekompositionen auszudrücken. Zunächst wird eine Aktionsartenklassifikation vorgeschlagen, mit deren Hilfe auch bestimmte "problematische" Prädikate wie 'eine Sonate spielen' adäquat klassifiziert werden können. Im Rahmen dieser Klassifikation wird dann gezeigt, wie man den Einfluß von PPs und NPs auf die Aktionsart ihrer Verbprojektion oder ihres Satzes mit Hilfe geeignter semantischer Repräsentationen kompositionell herleiten kann. He proposes a classification system for the various aspects which allows an adequate classification even of problematic cases.
