Rooted in the ancient tradition of Midrash Aggadah, this work explores the stories of Genesis while reaching far beyond them. This English edition, based on the 1903 Krakow edition, seeks to preserve the structure and distinctive voice of the Midrash while offering a clear and readable text for the contemporary reader.

Each chapter is followed by an analytical summary, providing guidance through the themes and interpretive movements of the text.
