This proceedings of the EPS 2018 - 5th International Conference on Geofoam Blocks in Construction Applications in Kyrenia, Northern Cyprus on May 9th-11th 2018, presents a collection of contributions about the state-of-the-art of research and applications about geofoam. Geofoam researchers, consultants, molders, contractors and practitioners from all around the world discuss the recent developments and future trends of the expanded polystyrene (EPS)-block geofoam technology and its construction applications. EPS'18 contributes to the development of geofoam applications after successful meetings in Oslo (1985), Tokyo (1996), Salt Lake City (2001) and Oslo (2011) conferences. Conference themes cover but are not limited to the present use of geofoam, design specifications, applications, new concepts, material properties, modeling and special topics of geofoam blocks in construction applications.
