More than forty years after its appearance as an artistic phenomenon, minimalism, one of the most stable current trends, has asserted itself as being an aesthetic expression of architecture and design. In interior architecture, minimalism is defined by the following characteristics: simplicity of forms, clean lines, bare spaces and neutral colors. This style advocates harmonious and functional universes, banishing excess and all visual pollution. Despite the great rigor of its principles, minimalism, faced with its growing popularity, had to qualify them to create more livable and less strict living spaces, ultimately more human. This work brings together decorative proposals that display a new, more contemporary version of minimalism, embellishing them with inspirational phrases from the most eminent representatives of this movement.
