This book offers a transdisciplinary reflection between literary studies, philosophy, and social sciences on the actualization of the concept of utopia from ecotones in the face of the habitability crisis. How do contemporary literature and theory conceive of utopia in inhospitable times, where borders, migration, and coexistence are described in terms of crisis? Can they renew our conception of utopia from places where reciprocal and non-alienated relationships between humans and the world are formed, places of temporal-spatial interrelation of cultures, that is, ‘ecotones’?

Cet ouvrage propose une réflexion transdisciplinaire entre les études littéraires, la philosophie et les sciences sociales autour de l’actualisation du concept d’utopie depuis les écotones face à la crise de l’habitabilité. Comment la littérature et la théorie contemporaines pensent l’utopie en des temps inhospitaliers, où frontière, migration et vivre-ensemble sont décrits en termes de crise ? Peuvent-elles renouveler notre conception de l’utopie depuis des lieux où se nouent des rapports réciproques et non aliénés entre les humains et le monde, des lieux d’interrelation temporo-spatiale des cultures, c’est-à-dire des « écotones » ?
