The overarching concern of this book is a broad analysis of shifting nature of woman's identity in the light of the theoretical propositions propounded by feminist critics like Helene Cixous and Judith Butler. The book exclusively centers around a comprehension of female identity as a notion that is constantly in a process of becoming rather than being a static and non-transmutable category.
