Anotace knihy

These portfolios contain ten art prints each of David Roberts' lithographs of Egypt's monumental pyramids and Luxor's famous temples, selected from "Egypt: Yesterday and Today". Between 1842 and 1849, on the basis of sketches made on the spot and aided by his memory, Roberts produced the drawings that Louis Haghe turned into prints published by Francis Graham Moon. Suitable for framing, they reproduce scenes of the magnificence of the pyramids of the Nile Valley and the stunning monuments of Luxor with photographic detail.
