Anotace knihy

There are as many different beliefs, opinions and perspectives about the Bible as there are religions; including those who don't believe in the Bible at all. I was born in 1945 and have attended primarily the Southern Baptist Church but have been a member of a Conservative Baptist Church and a couple of Assembly of God Churches and have visited many churches of other religions. There are many religions which base their beliefs on the Bible yet all of them have something they believe differently. The reason there are so many different "Christian" religions is because people want the Bible to say what they want to believe.We have a set of dessert plates, one of which has a flaw. A small drop of paint with a little tail on it fell on one of the plates before glazing. It is annoying to me and I won't use the plate unless there is no other. My granddaughter, Myla, loves to use the "tadpole" plate. I see a flaw; she sees something unique. A difference in perspective.Instead of twisting what the Bible says to fit what we want to believe or taking it out of context; let's keep the Bible in context, believe what is written and not allow our own perspective take us "where no man should go" (a paraphrase). Let us now take a look at the Bible and some other "inconvenient truths".
