Sin did not begin in a garden.

Before ever a man drew breath, a third of the host of heaven kept not their first estate. A star set on high lifted up his heart and said, I will ascend; the Watchers came down upon Hermon and overleapt the bound of their own kind; and the very hours God had measured out were stolen away. Original Sin follows that first rebellion out of the courts of heaven and into the garden of Eden, and shows how one same lawlessness runs through them all - time, place, kind, and word, four bounds and four crossings.
