Anotace knihy

A randomized controlled trial was carried out to study effectiveness of MET and passive sleeper stretch on glenohumeral internal rotation range of motion in badminton players players with 18 to 30 years of age with glenohumeral internal rotation deicit. 64 badminton players with GIRD of dominant arm were selected and divided into two groups.Group A (MET) and group B (passive sleeper stretch). Individual were assessed for outcome measure using universal goniometer for glenohumeral internal rotation range of motion. Group A received MET targeted to glenohumeral joint external rotators 4 times a week for 2 consecutive weeks. Group B received passive sleeper stretch, 4 times a week for two consecutive weeks.participants were assessed for outcome measure i.eglenohumeral internal rotation range of motion postintervention , at the end of 1st week and at the end of the 2nd week . data was documented and analysed using paired t test, un-paired t test and repeated measure ANOVA. Results concluded that both both groups were statistically significant in improving glenohumeral internal rotation range of motion in badminton players with GIRD.
