What begins as prosperity gradually becomes isolation. The treasures accumulated throughout a lifetime cannot purchase back a single lost moment, restore a silenced voice, revive a damaged landscape, or reclaim a hand that has slipped away.

As the poems progress, the language shifts from observation to confession. The world that was once abundant becomes increasingly barren, while the wealth that promised security becomes a weight the narrator can no longer carry. By the end, there is nothing left to bargain with.

Mistake is not simply a condemnation of money or ambition. It is an invitation to question the moment when achievement stops serving life-and life begins serving achievement.
