"It's like looking at the last good day before the end of the world...Wish I could remember it."
For us, memories are a familiar thing. Little capsules of time, locked up in our subconscious. We open them ourselves whenever we want or whenever someone or something hands us the keys. Reliving them is anything but dangerous. It's required. It helps us grow and learn. In the end, they are what makes us, us. But it's nothing like that for Alice. For her, memories are a curse. Reliving them is dangerous, and if she could, she would avoid it. She doesn't grow from them; they grow in her. Confuse her, torment her, make her feel like she's insane. Are they really mine? She often asks herself. Why can't I remember things about me that others do? Why am I constantly reliving a life I have no recollection of? And why do my nightmares spill over into the real world?
Questions nobody seems to have the answers for, not even her childhood friend and partner Jasmine, who has devoted herself to helping Alice deal with her memory loss and terrifying visions while at the same time chasing a promising career. A career that could have already been in full swing if not for the incident that changed it all. It was a normal summer day, Jasmine tells her. Until it wasn't. It was the day Alice disappeared, and in Jasmine's words, a different Alice came back.
