Anotace knihy

Maroon & Company is a novel where three women, in their own distinct voices, guide the reader through how they meet, their inner most desires, their complex pasts and their laughable idiosyncrasies.

Chandler is employed in a marketing firm she wishes she could leave today. She has a cooking degree and a desire of becoming one of the most recognized chefs in town. The challenge of divorce, emotionally supporting her pregnant sister and a shortage of money keep Chandler wondering how to fulfill her dream. She discovers that the answer to what she is looking for is right in front of her if she is willing to take the risk.

With a degree in accounting, Lorelei is divorced with three children. Going home to South Carolina, hoping to "find herself", Lorelei learns the south isn't what it used to be. While there she is confronted with the skeletons of her past and the memory of being abandoned as a baby. She returns north with a new independence and to help her friend Chandler realize her dream.

Stevie Michelle's greatest asset is her beauty. She has been a trophy throughout her three failed marriages. Obsessed with showing her son, Chandler and Lorelei that her superficial beliefs are something of the past, Stevie Michelle goes to extremes to prove her worth of being part of Chandler's dream.

Chandler, Lorelei and Stevie Michelle believe their expertise in the culinary arts, accounting and the gift of persuasion is a recipe for success and together they attempt to move heaven and earth to create Maroon.

Vetella Camper lives in the suburb of Cleveland Heights, OH. A graduate of Cleveland State University, she is an avid gardener and has won awards for her garden designs. She has been recognized for her short story writing and this is her first published novel.
