This book commences with an introduction to cloud computing and green cloud computing. Further, it comprises its historical view, prominent characteristics, underpinning technologies that led to the advancement of green cloud computing, and various advantages and disadvantages. It also covers the architecture of parallel cloud computing focusing on the role played by each entity.
