""""""In real life, the space between the canopy and branches allows sunlight to gently filter through. In Japan, the dappled light this creates is called komorebi (pronounced koh-mo-reh-bee)(Nicholls, 2020)."""" This book consists of a collection of poems written as a refuge, an instrument used in search of light shining through the shadow of the trees.
As the author, I would say this endeavor came at the most serendipitous of times. Whether it's due to celestial events, divine intervention or both, writing these poems launched me into much needed reflection and healing. While most of these are haikus, there are two freeforms and my attempt at a limerick. I adore haikus because they have a power to capture a revelation, embody a phenomenon, or stoke an ember in the process of reflection. These poems are a reflection of my learning in love and life.""
