TOP SECRET: DO NOT OPEN IF YOU ARE MAYOR BARNABY (OR A HUNGRY CHUPACABRA).
From the hilarious, chaotic mind of a hyper-smart, sassy blonde witch comes a laugh-out-loud, diary-style Halloween adventure perfect for fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid and The Last Kids on Earth!
First of all, let's get one thing straight: Juni Runi did NOT ask to be the Cryptids Keeper.
If you had told her this morning that her Halloween plans would involve playing unpaid babysitter to a bunch of overgrown folklore rejects, she would have laughed in your face and gone back to organizing her candy-sorting spreadsheet. But when the town's clueless Historical Society accidentally cracks open a cursed copper mining vault beneath the town hall, a giant cloud of purple smoke zaps straight into Juni's favorite velvet cat-ears headband.
Suddenly, she has a supreme problem: She can understand what mythical monsters are saying. And guess what? Most of them are incredibly whiny.
Now, Juni's neighborhood is under full-scale cryptid siege, and it's up to her supreme intellect to handle the chaos during the craziest trick-or-treating night in town history:

• The Chupacabra is literally sobbing behind a garage because people are giving out chalky candy corn instead of king-size peanut butter cups.
• The Mothman is flying face-first into basketball hoops at the Middle School dance, completely hypnotized by the DJ's high-powered disco ball.
• Bigfoot (Sasquatch himself) is contaminating the party punch because he just wanted to wear a tiny vampire cape and feel included.
• And a minivan-sized, hyperactive Jackalope is treating the town square's prize-winning pumpkin-carving competition like a giant game of fruit pinball!

With the help of her best friends, a high-powered laser pointer, a giant tuba, and a lot of attitude, Juni has until the final stroke of midnight to corral the cryptids back into the vault before the doors lock forever. Can one sassy girl save Halloween from a folklore apocalypse, or will she end up with a school suspension instead of a savior medal?
Why Kids and Parents Love the Juni Runi Series:

• Laugh-Out-Loud Diary Format: Packed with conversational humor, sarcastic observations, and the classic, fast-paced rhythm that reluctant readers love.
• A Sassy, Smart Heroine: Juni is independent, fiercely confident, and uses her sharp brains (and sharp tongue) to outsmart monsters and adults alike.
• Hilarious Modern Twist on Folklore: Reimagines famous cryptids not as scary beasts, but as funny, chocolate-observed creatures with relatable quirks.
• Bonus Cryptid Guide & Quiz Included! Features a funny monster vocabulary guide and an interactive personality quiz at the back of the book.

Juni Runi: The Cryptids Keeper is a page-turning, spooky-funny journal of monster wrangling, candy heists, and total municipal anarchy.
