Anotace knihy

This study defines joint times-sensitive targeting, looks at a few instances of joint sensor fusion and extracts some insights as to the way ahead for joint targeting. Precision weapons have a vociferous appetite for intelligence and require precise geographic coordinates to describe the targets of interest. Since Desert Storm, joint dynamic targeting has increased from 20 percent to over 85 percent of sorties in Operation Iraqi Freedom. In this work, joint targeting has been broken down into four categories reflecting target execution in the kill chain: planned, emerging, dynamic, and time-sensitive. A "joint" time-sensitive target refers to a time-sensitive target that requires cooperation and/or coordination by two or more services or components to successfully engage.
