The author of this book, Dr. Ellet J. Waggoner, was not only an excellent physician but an evangelist and co-editor of "The Signs of the Times." The message of salvation only by faith in Jesus Christ was Martin Luther's great theme out of which was born the Protestant Reformation of the sixteenth century.
