This story centers arround a family struggling to insure their handicapped child a better life. these series of events during that struggle happened in the early to middle 1970's in a small country town before IDEA and PL142 was implemeted in 1975, giving these children the rights to an education. The events your about to read are my own recollections. this story is a fictional tale based on a real event, that I lived through as a little girl attending that high school, and one that still haunts my dreams at night.
