Anotace knihy

She was set to be a star of the animation industry, but today no one knows who she is.

in the 1940s, Doris Doodle was set to be the next big Cartoon star, but was quickly forgotten after her short time as an ad girl on a variety show. In the present, she's mostly done with anything having to do with the industry. That's until a video of her becomes the talk of the town! Immediately, Doris get's a new opportunity to reach the fame she wanted since she was first drawn. The doors are open again, but Hollywood still has just as many dangers, if not more than when she was newly inked. On her journey, she'll come across studio notes, fan pressure, and frustration from a new cartoon character named Dawn who is pushing Doris near the edge of her patience.

Updated from the online comic, this is the story of Doris Doodle. A love letter to animation and a satire of the entertainment industry. In a world where cartoon characters live and walk around with people, what does it mean to be rebooted and changed to meet the needs of a studio? As Doris navigates the system, she'll need to learn how things have changed from the 40s while also confronting the events that pushed her out of stardom.
