This contribution to the recorded history of the college was originally intended as a continuation of Part II of Patrick Bury's work. It adopts the same form as that of its predecessor but uses it in order to convey, especially through the interlinked series of lives of the masters and fellows, a connected account of the college's fortunes and development during the four Masterships which carried Corpus through most of the second half of the twentieth century. Like its predecessor it includes accounts of the holders of the principal college offices and of the vicissitudes of the college livings; and it provides an alphabetical list of all members of the college admitted during the forty-two years it spans. Extracts from the Statutes relevant to the Fellowship explain the terms and conditions under which Fellows have been elected and admitted, and the changes in them that have taken place. Dr A. GEOFFREY WOODHEADis a fellow of Corpus Christi.
