First-time author Keith A. Williams based his book on actual events from his days as an over-the-road trucker. Every time he told this story, he was told it was a great story and would make a great book. His wife thought it would be a good children's book. The author agreed, not only writing the book with a twist and telling it from the coyote's perspective, but he also did all the illustrations.
