Anotace knihy
This book examines non-pharmacological interventions designed to support and improve cognitive function in older adults, with a focus on evidence-based brain training and functional evaluation methods.Three key approaches are explored. First, a combined dual-task brain training method, integrating mental calculation with walking and learning therapy, is assessed using the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) for mild cognitive impairment screening. Second, aerobic walking instruction is evaluated in relation to cognitive health, emphasizing faster-paced walking for at least 20 minutes, three times a week, and increased stride length, with outcomes measured using the 2-Step Test as an indicator of motor and cognitive function. Third, the book investigates emotional assessment and its relationship with cognition, analyzing how emotional states influenced by non-drug therapies may affect memory and cognitive performance.Through these approaches, the book offers an integrated perspective on the interaction between physical activity, cognitive training, and emotional well-being in elderly populations.
