Seaweeds are a source of pigments for various hair coloring products due to their long lasting properties. -Determination of total carbohydrate, phenolic, flavonoid and tannin contents was important since the antiviral activity could be related not only to the presence of carbohydrates but also with other phenolic components. -The bioactivities of microalgae compounds depend upon the type of solvent used for extraction.
