This book continues W. Becker s Advanced Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting Techniques published by Springer in 2005. It starts with a general description of the technique and its development in the last 10 years. The larger part of the book is dedicated to TCSPC applications, most of them in life sciences or biomedical optics. These chapters are written by prominent users of the technique and cover areas like imaging of molecular parameters in live systems, protein structure and protein interaction, application of Foerster resonance energy transfer, metabolic imaging, NADH dynamics, diffuse optical imaging techniques and clinical and pre-clinical imaging. The book closes with a list of about 600 references on TCSPC techniques and their applications.
