Anotace knihy
This practice is performed to protect from calamities, prolong life, eliminate sins, and increase prosperity. The "Sa" in Saddharma Puṇḍarīka means "supreme," "dharma" means 'law' or "principle," and "Puṇḍarīka" refers to a flower; together, they signify that the most excellent of all dharmas blossoms. At Ninnaji Temple, the main deity of this practice is Avalokiteśvara, whereas in the Chuin-ryu lineage, it is Śākyamuni. However, there are three distinct teachings regarding this.
