Whatever we put out into the public space must turn the attention of the reader towards his inner self, point towards a higher truth or indicate the way of a natural and exalter human life. This collection of reflections about life, living and a revisiting of ancient wisdoms aims to fufil this objective at least in some measure. The essays in this book can each be read independently. Even though the essays are independent of each other, the same thread of reasoning and understanding passes through all of them. This uniformity of vision in the delineation of the subject matter forms the underlying foundation of insight; it forms the essence that each one of us is born to discover within ourselves. Vidyashankar Hoskere is a structural engineer by profession. Writing though has been his passion since his younger days. He and his wife, Anupama Hoskere, run an NGO called Dhaatu - Center for sharing life skills and traditional wisdom. He has studied and lived both in India and in the US and blends traditional wisdom with science and contemporary language. His views arise from unique insights drawn from the depths of his experience of life and day-to-day living. As a writer his expression is refreshing and original and stands alone based on his unique and uncommon vision.
